Marshella Gore

LPC, NCC, LCMHC

HI THERE, I'M

Before any of those titles, I’m a survivor—a generational barrier breaker who knows firsthand what it means to fight for peace you’ve never seen modeled. I’ve walked through trauma, grief, and the kind of silent battles that leave scars. That’s why I do this work.

I believe healing should feel real—not rigid. It should feel safe, not clinical. And most of all, it should be made for you, not just handed to you. Whether I’m in the therapy room, on a stage, or in a community space, my mission is the same: to hold space, speak truth, and remind you that your story isn’t over.

Speaker. Therapist. Mental Health Educator. Healer.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, NCC, LCMHC) with advanced training in trauma recovery, mindfulness-based practices, and emotional resilience. But beyond the credentials, my work is rooted in heart, lived experience, and a deep calling to hold space for others.

For more than 15 years, I’ve walked alongside children navigating the foster care system, supported families through crisis and transition, and served military communities and nonprofits with care and commitment. Through it all, one thing has remained true: people don’t just need therapy—they need safe, human, and affirming spaces where healing actually feels possible.

That’s why I created a practice that’s not just clinically sound, but deeply grounded in real life. A place where therapy is down-to-earth, culturally sensitive, and built to meet you exactly where you are.

I didn’t just choose this career—I lived the life that led me here.

As a childhood trauma survivor, a military spouse, and a first-generation college graduate, I know how it feels to carry pain that’s been unspoken for too long. I also know what it’s like to look for help and not see anyone who understands your experience, your family, or your culture.

That’s why I created M.I.N.D. Your Mind Counseling—a practice built on real-world healing, cultural awareness, and deep compassion. My goal is to help others rewrite their stories, break generational patterns, and feel safe enough to grow.

REAL TRANSFORMATION. FROM REAL

people

The Kappa Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.'s mental health session with Mrs. Marshella Gore, a Dope Black Therapist and owner of Mind Your Mind, was nothing short of amazing and taught us that we can often remove our superwoman cape to administer self-love. Taking care of your mental health daily can make a significant difference in how you feel and function. During our session, we learned that breathing exercises can have a profound impact on mental health, offering several key benefits.
